Brush Pickup Scheduled for Week of July 18th |
by eWire Info
Due to the storm last Monday, the City of Sturgis has scheduled a brush pickup for the City starting next Monday, July 18th. Crews will begin picking up brush on the north side of town and will work their way to the south. Residents wanting to have brush removed must have it cut to lengths of no more than 8 feet and it is not to be any larger than 4” in diameter.
As with the regularly scheduled brush pickups, no grass clippings, roots, thorn bearing branches, tree trunks, stumps, or construction materials will be collected; a limit of 1 truck load of material per parcel will be collected and hauled away; and
materials must be neatly stacked on the terrace away from objects or obstructions such as power poles, guy wires, sign posts, valve boxes, etc.
Residents are asked to have brush ready for collection on Monday morning by 7:30 a.m. If you miss collection or have more than one truck load of brush, the City's compost site is available to residents free of charge. For more information on the compost site, visit the public services webpage on this site.
