The City's Hydroelectric Dam turns 100 this year, and in coordination with Sturgis Dam Days, the City is celebrating with a Centennial Ceremony on Sunday, June 26th. The event will include a brief presentation on the history of the Dam and dedication of a Centennial monument by the Mayor, to be followed by a picnic (bring your own picnic lunch, cake and refreshements will be available) and tours of the dam.

The celebration will take place at Covered Bridge Park starting at 1:00 with the ceremonials. Picnic and tours will last until 3:00 p.m. The St. Joseph County Transportation Authority will be providing rides from Covered Bridge Park to the Dam site for tours.
