At their March 28th meeting, the City Commission approved changes to the schedules for both the compost site and brush pickup headed into the 2012 season.

Brush pickup will continue to occur three times during the year, but dates have been moved to the first week of April, May, and October. Additional pickups will occur throughout the spring and summer as needed following substantial storm events; these special brush collections are advertised in local media outlets, including the City's website. The April brush pickup begins on Monday, April 2nd.

The Commission also added additional hours to the operation of the compost site on Fawn River Road. Mondays and Thursdays in April and October the compost site will now be open until 7:30 p.m. April through October, the compost site is now open from noon to 7:30 p.m. Monday and Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday. In November the site is open from noon to 6:00 p.m. Monday and Thursday and the same times on Saturday and Sunday.
