Sycamore Township has four shelters available for rental from April through October at Bechtold Park. Shelter #1 the Bechtold Pavilion is available for rental to Sycamore Township residents only. Bechtold Shelter #1 – Bechtold Pavilion #1
Capacity: up to 125 people
Amenities: Stone fireplace (wood must be purchased from the Township) , electricity, attached restrooms, picnic tables, stone patio, garden area, playground and charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal).

RENTAL FEES
1. The Bechtold Pavilion (Shelter #1)is available for rent only to Sycamore Township residents at a rate of $100 for a maximum of 8 hours, inclusive of set-up / clean-up time.
2. Shelters 2-4 are available for rent at a rate of $25 for Sycamore Township residents or $100 for non-residents for a maximum of 8 hours, inclusive of set-up / clean-up time.
3. Cancellations with more than 30 days notice will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 30 days will receive no refund.
GENERAL RULES
1. The Board of Trustees or their agent reserves the right to adjust, change, or cancel any reservation at any time for any reason.
2. The organization renting the shelter, its officers, and members thereof will be held personally responsible for loss, damage, breakage, and/or failure to observe park rules. Should the renter be an individual, any violations shall be charged directly to that individual. A complete list of Bechtold Park Rules is available on the Township website.
3. The person or a person representing the rental organization must be present during the entire event.
4. The facility is to be cleaned and vacated by 9:00 p.m. unless otherwise authorized by the Township.
5. Renters are expected to leave the shelter and surrounding area in good order; all garbage should be cleared off tables and placed in the trash cans provided.
6. Alcoholic beverages are permitted in the shelter area but may not be sold or included in the price of admission.
7. The person renting any facility must certify and is responsible for ensuring that only persons who are of legal age will be permitted to consume alcoholic beverages.
8. No live bands or disc jockeys are permitted.
9. Any music or electronic equipment is subject to all noise ordinances and must not be audible beyond the rental area.
10. No inflatable play equipment, bounce houses or other such items are permitted at any time.
11. The sand volleyball courts are for VOLLEYBALL play only.
12. The use of any ballfield is to be approved in advance of the rental by the Township.
13. All fireplace wood and starter material for the Pavilion (Shelter #1) will be provided by Sycamore Township for a fee. No renter may bring in wood. The wood provided by the Township is the only material to be used in the fireplace.

SCHULER COMMUNITY ROOM TERMS OF RENTAL
11532 DEERFIELD RD.
1. Rental fees cover up to eight (8) consecutive hours.
2. The facility is to be cleaned and vacated by 11:00 p.m.
3. Pre-event setup must be done within the 8-hour rental period.
4. No activity may start before 8:00 a.m.
5. Person renting the facility must be at least 18 years old.
COMMUNITY ROOM FEE / DEPOSIT
1. A $150 deposit is required for all community room rentals unless otherwise approved.
2. $500 for a consecutive 8-hour rental, plus $50 per extra hour over 8 hours.*

4. Deposit may be refunded after inspection of the space and after the next Trustee meeting.
5. If a cancellation occurs at least 30 days before the rental date, your payment will be refunded in full. Cancellations made within 30 days of the rental date will not be refunded.
*PLEASE NOTE: THE SCHULER COMMUNITY ROOM IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR RENT ON ANY HOLIDAY.
Various Sycamore Township community and civic groups may use the community room for a reduced or eliminated fee on Tuesdays and Wednesdays subject to approval by the Township

4. An additional cleaning fee along with forfeiture of the deposit will be charged for stains or excess dirt and debris on the carpet, walls, bathrooms, etc.
5. Alcoholic beverages are permitted but may not be sold or included in the price of admission.
6. The person renting the community room must certify and is responsible to ensure that only persons who are of legal age will be permitted to consume alcoholic beverages.
7. The person renting the facility must be present during the entire event.
8. Nothing may be affixed to any wall, cabinet, window, or door.
9. No glitter, confetti, or similar items are permitted to be used at any time. Using any of these items will result in a forfeiture of the deposit.
10. No helium balloons are permitted.
