Backyard Gardeners' Festival and Plant Sale The Polk County Backyard Master Gardeners offers this free event that features educational workshops, "Ask the Expert" Gazebo, free soil testing, garden tours, children's activities and much more. Drawings will be held for Master Gardener designed planters. Visit educational booths and purchase Florida-Friendly and Florida native plants, bromeliads, orchids, gardening books, rain barrels and other gardening items. Rain, or shine, the event will take place at the UF/IFAS Polk County Extension Service campus, 1702 U.S. Highway 17 South, Bartow.
