Menlo Park Firefighters Annual Pancake Breakfast Join the Junior League of Palo Alto•Mid Peninsula, Menlo Park Firefighters, and Stanford Park Hotel at the 11th Annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, October 1 from 7:30am-11am. Enjoy pancakes, Peet's Coffee, Hobee's coffeecake, kids activities, and photo opportunities. Held at the Menlo Park Fire Station, proceeds benefit the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation. Silicon Valley Roots & Shoots-Lecture & Slide Show Learn all about the making of an iPhone/iPad travel guide app that tells the stories of the people, products, and places in Silicon Valley that made it happen. The event will be held in the City Council Chambers, 701 Laurel Street. David Laws, semiconductor curator, Computer History Museum will discuss the creation of this app that was released in late 2010. Visit the sites where entrepreneurs, engineers and scientists created ideas and technology that changed our world. Tracking down the roots and shoots of the digital revolution is made easy with this unique guide to over 125 locations and resources in the southern San Francisco bay area cities, campuses and industrial parks from Stanford to San Jose.
