A fun craft project is designed around the story theme or a seasonal topic. Parents and caregivers are asked to assist younger children using scissors, glue and other art materials.

The Little Garden Club's Daffodil Show is a perennial favorite! Come see all the entries in our sunny yellow Carriage House. Judges will present awards and ribbons for the most outstanding specimens from area gardens. The variety of daffodils and their colors will be endless; traditional yellows sat side by side with fancy pink frilled and white daffodils. See tables filled with flowers with exotic names like 'Tahiti,' 'Jetfire' and 'Tete a Tete.' Veteran growers and novices are invited to enter! The Bird Homestead nonprofit will screen Seed: the Untold Story, an award-winning science film, at the Meeting House on Milton Road on Saturday, April 29, at 3 pm. Few things on earth are as vital as seeds. The documentary follows some of the passionate seed keepers who protect our 12,000 year-old food-growing legacy. In the last century, a shocking 94 percent of our seed varieties have disappeared. As biotech chemical companies control the majority of our seeds, farmers, scientists, lawyers, and indigenous seed keepers fight a David and Goliath battle to defend the future of our food.
