The venue and finish line is at the Pine Trailhead in the Tonto National Forest just off Highway 260 about a quarter mile south of Pine, Arizona. Free parking and camping is available about a half mile south of the trailhead off of Hwy 260 (.1 mile north of mile marker 266). No parking at the trailhead, buses will transport racers; family & friends will be bussed after the race starts. • 5:30 AM - 7:00 AM: Parking, late registration & packet pickup, at the bus parking area • 6:45 AM: Mandatory prerace brief, near registration at parking area • 7:00 AM: Start loading buses • 7:30 AM: First wave start, starting line • 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM: Bus transportation available between parking area & Pine Trailhead • 10:30 (approximate): Award presentation, Pine Trailhead Race Info

Rim Country Fire Angels are sponsoring this event which will include over 20 local vendors, food, face painting, car show, 50/50 drawing and fun for the whole family at Rumsey Park. Fund from this event will go back to the Children of Rim Country & the Fire Departments. May Day Flyer

Annual Payson Wildlife Fair, an annual cooperative event between the Arizona Game and Fish Department, Mogollon Sporting Association, US Forest Service, and Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department. Admission is FREE. Parents and kids can fish, play games, and get a close-up look at wildlife, including birds of prey, rattlesnakes, Gila monsters and alligators. There will be booths from a variety of conservation groups and Green Valley Lake will receive more than double its usual stocking of trout in preparation for this event. No fishing license is required for fair attendees and equipment and bait can be borrowed from the free fishing booth at the fair. The Final Day Weigh-In will happen at GREEN VALLEY PARK. Bring your kids to Green Valley Park on May 6, 2017 from 2-5 PM and watch as the top 10 anglers bring their "Catch" to the final day weigh in. Enjoy games, music, food and fun. Get autographs, learn from the pros and enjoy the festival atmosphere.

Women's Pro Rodeo Association Barrel Racing - Gates open @ 5 PM & Performance @ 6 PM. Admission (1) can of food. Come watch Cowboys and Cowgirls from all over the State of Arizona as they compete in various events. Saddle up and head over to the Payson Event Center on May 17, 2018 for the opening night of the world's oldest continuous rodeo.

Seismological Bunker Hike. An easy 2 ½ mile in-&-out hike with a mix of sand/dirt & rocks underfoot to an interesting site. The trailhead for this hike is at the end of the pavement on Chaparral Pines Rd. Parking is on the road/shoulder, please do not block private property access.

Green Valley Park Memorial Day Festivities begin at the Veteran's Memorial. This program is presented by the Payson Patriotic Events Committee. At 9:45am a Patriotic Music Interlude begins as audience gathers. At 10:00am - Opening Remarks & brief welcoming from PPEC by Bill Sahno. Invocation by Father Lowell Andrews; Presentation of Colors by CAP Cadets; Playing of “National Anthem”; Speaker: Mayor Swartwood of Payson Arizona; Guest Speakers: Louise Lopez – Don Engler – Marty Demasi; Bagpipe Medley by Eric Landau; Service Medley/Honor Guard Tribute/Service Flags/Rifle Salute/Taps; Benediction by Father Lowell Andrews; Moment of Silent Reflection; “Amazing Grace” by Eric Landau; Closing Remarks & March Music.
