Pleas Accepted in Club Madonna Sex Trafficking Case: Report
Three out of the four people arrested on human trafficking charges after they forced a 13-year-old runaway girl into prostitution and nude dancing at Club Madonna have accepted plea deals, according to the Miami Herald.
Marlene San Vincente, Vilbert Jean, and DeWayne Ward accepted plea deals and will cooperate against the fourth person involved, Audelin Pierre, the Herald reported. All of them had faced charges of human trafficking, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, lewd and lascivious conduct on a person less than 16-years-old and delivering a controlled substance to a person under 18.

L.A. County reaching out to save children from prostitution
The teenage girl slouched in her baggy orange detention uniform for yet another court hearing in her prostitution case..
From the bench, Commissioner Catherine Pratt called out a sunny "hello," trying to create a human bond for a girl who has few of them.
"You're beginning to look pregnant," Pratt said. "Before, I didn't even notice."
The girl told the commissioner that she felt trapped at juvenile hall, worrying by day that she would give birth behind bars, dreaming at night of Nutella and hot Cheetos.
"They don't even give me any sugar," she said. "It ain't right."
Pratt told the girl that if she would stop running back to the streets, Pratt would place her in a group home where she could eat what she wants, keep her child out of foster care and hold the baby shower she fantasizes about.

D.C. Cop Sentenced To Seven Years In Prison For Forcing Minors Into Sex Trade
A former D.C. cop was sentenced to seven years in prison today for forcing two minors into the sex trade and taking unclothed photographs of three minors.
Linwood Barnhill pleaded guilty to two counts of pandering a minor and one count of possession of child pornography as part of a plea. He will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
In explaining the plea deal, prosecutors said two of the victims — one 15, the other 16, and both "chronic runaways" — were in "fragile" conditions after being victimized by Barnhill. "The resolution of this case would spare her from the pain and humiliation caused by having to testify at a public trial," prosecutors said of the 15-year-old victim, who was forced into sexual acts with an anonymous man.
