Police Officer Complaint/Compliment

Purpose. The Milford Police Department will review all complaints/compliments brought before them. The department categorizes complaints as either formal (serious) or non-formal (non-serious) and assigns responsibility accordingly. Ohio Revised Code 2921.15 states that it is a misdemeanor of the first degree to knowingly file a complaint against a peace officer that alleges that the police officer engaged in misconduct in the performance of the officers duties if the person knows the allegation is false. .
