The City of Maricopa is seeking a firm to provide Construction Manager at Risk (CM@R) Services for the Civic Center Iconic Park CIP project, located on a 58 acre city owned parcel adjacent to Maricopa Civic Center (39700 West Civic Center Plaza, Maricopa AZ 85138). The project will include an inclusive destination playground, a 3.5-acre lake for irrigation w/ pump enclosure, a fishing dock, a destination recirculated splash pad, an amphitheater with a 5.1-acre great lawn, pump track, GFRC themed boulder entry zone, pickleball courts, basketball courts, sand volleyball courts, dog park, maintenance yard, water harvesting landscape features, picnic areas, parking areas, hard surface and soft-surface pedestrian paths, interpretive art elements, food truck zone, and coordination for future retail pads. Architectural features include, but are not limited to: a major integrated shade structure over the destination playground, large-group ramadas, medium-group ramadas, standard-sized ramadas, community center with event space, custom shade structures, and zip-line elements. The large-scale shade structure over the destination playground may feature video-board integrated technology. Civil infrastructure includes, but is not limited to: large scale earthwork, grading, drainage and stormwater conveyance systems, bridge over West Bowlin Road, underground utilities (including wet and dry utilities), internal roadways, parking facilities, pedestrian circulation networks, and lake infrastructure. The civil work includes construction of integrated arroyos, detention and retention features, water harvesting systems, lake area, and specialty paving. Early CMAR involvement is essential to address constructibility, value engineering, sequencing/phasing, and cost modeling associated with the project’s scale, phased implementation, and integration of architectural, civil, electrical, landscape, irrigation, utilities, and structural elements.
