The City of Georgetown, South Carolina, requests proposals from qualified firms to provide Public Works GPS Routing and Hardware/Software Services. The City is seeking ways to create efficient methods of collecting yard waste materials from its right of ways. The City is also seeking a firm to provide a global positioning system that can be utilized by our sanitation and debris crews to map, track and plot areas of yard waste materials throughout the City for approximately 3,100 residential sanitation customers, as well as some commercial customers in the downtown/historic district. A new innovative system is sought to help the City save time, fuel and provide enhanced customer service. No RFP will be accepted after its due date and time specified above. Faxed or emailed proposals will not be accepted for any reason. The City reserves the right to waive any technicalities or informalities and to accept or reject any and/or all submissions as deemed by its sole judgment to be in its best interest. The City also reserves the right to terminate the selection process without notice, to waive any irregularities in any submittal, and to request additional information from any of the firms submitting an RFP. All costs relating to the preparation and delivery of the RFP shall be borne by the participating firm.
