Purpose. Bethel Park Recreation is looking for your input to help plan an exciting NEW program that we’ll be offering to individuals with Special Needs! The program, “South Hills Stars Color Guard,” will be geared towards ALL individuals with special needs including those with physical and emotional disabilities, autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, intellectual disability, hearing and vision disorders, TBI, and learning disabilities. Participants aged 10 years – adult will meet once a week to learn techniques such as spinning flags, using pom-poms, ribbons, dance and more. An added layer of fun will be the group performing at a parent show and possibly other events in the area as well!
