Sycamore Township offers a scheduled monthly Brush Chipping Program for residents, providing residents the opportunity to drop off tree and brush trimmings behind the Township Administration Building free of charge for the recycling of wood chips and mulch. Residents are asked to bring their brush and limbs to the rear of the Township Administration building where maintenance personnel will assist in the unloading and chipping of the material. This program normally runs the first Saturday of each month. |

| 10/19/2009 7:30 AM | (Leaf Pick up) Fall Leaf Collection
The Maintenance Department will begin picking up leaves on Monday, October 19 and will continue through Friday, December 11, 2009. PLEASE DO NOT PUT LEAVES IN THE STREET. Leaves become very slippery when wet and, when parked over, they can start a car on fire when brought into contact with the catalytic converter.
Sticks, grass clippings, and/or garden debris will jam our machines and should not be mixed into leaf piles. Consequently, piles with materials other than leaves will not be collected.
Maintenance crews will be working from 7:30 am until dark, six days a week, rain or shine to collect your leaves in a timely fashion. Many factors such as the amount of leaves to be collected on a given round and availability of temporary laborers have an effect on collection and make it impossible to know exact pick-up times. Thank you for your cooperation. |
