US-12 Railroad Work Finished

As of February 10, MDOT construction crews have completed work on the US-12 Railroad crossing and the street is again open to through traffic. Due to pavement plants being closed for the winter, some repairs to the road near the rails were completed with cold patch; crews will be back for a brief period in spring to replace this temporary fix with asphalt. |

Railroad Crossing Repair Next Week; Detour Planned

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be conducting repairs on the railroad crossing on US-12 / W. Chicago Road starting Monday, February 6th. The work will close US-12 to thru traffic east of Jacob Street and west of Jefferson Street for the duration of construction.
Construction and closure of the road is expected to run from Monday the 6th to Friday, February 10th. Additional time may be necessary based on weather conditions and construction progress.
