Laurel St. As required by the City of Sarasota, a neighborhood meeting is being held to discuss a G Zone Waiver, Major Conditional Use, and Site Plan for 1050 Euclid Avenue and 1085 Shade Avenue. The two parcels are owned by Sarasota County and are in the Governmental (G) Zone District. The Community Housing Trust of Sarasota County proposes building 40 “attainable” two-story single family attached residential townhomes on the ± 2.64 acre site. The size of the townhomes would range from 1700 sq. ft. to 2000 sq. ft. and are estimated to be priced between $155,000 and $175,000. Ownership would be through the Community Housing Trust of Sarasota County, which processes and creates attainable units in perpetuity. Each unit would include a one car garage underneath (two-story total) and a driveway, for a total of two parking spaces per unit. Landscaping and buffering would be provided.
