If you are interested in attending, you must register online http://www.catdepot.org/education/cat-socialization.aspx or email Cody at codyc@catdepot.org. In a shelter environment, we try to provide as much stimulation for the cats and kittens as possible to reduce stress and boredom. Teaching cats and kittens to walk on a leash not only provides stimulation, it improves social skills and increases their ability to adapt to new environments. It can also bring attention to some cats who normally do not stand out in a large group, increasing their chances of getting adopted.

Sheridan Heminger is a 13 month old little girl from Sarasota Florida with a rare disease. Since birth, Sheridan has struggled with even the most basic life-sustaining functions. Children with Interstitial Lung Disease and specifically children with NEHI are supported by the chILD foundation. This foundation helps to provide support for families with ILD and raises money for research studies. Unlike many charities, 100% of the money that the chILD foundation receives goes directly towards helping the patients. Please show your support for Sheridan and other children suffering from these little-known diseases by helping us raise money for this cause. We all take advantage of the breaths that we take. Sheridan takes life one breath at a time."-Chelbe Heminger (mother)
