DESCRIPTION:Spend a �Saturday in the Park with Friends� on May 18 as Friends of Rye Town Park hosts a fundraiser to usher in Spring�s arrival.\n\nEnjoy a casual evening under the pavilions in Rye Town Park from 6-9 p.m., complete with a fun menu (including a raw bar, sliders, chicken, veggies, hot dogs with the works, beer, wine, and more), music, a silent auction and a special Spring raffle.\n\nProceeds from the evening will primarily help to fund long-range plans for the care of the park�s trees. Over the past year especially, the park has suffered tree damage or loss from severe weather but natural aging and other environmental factors have taken a toll on them as well over time.  As part of its mission to restore and preserve the beauty of the park, Friends would like to set the groundwork for a formal blueprint to help protect these natural assets that make Rye Town Park special.\n\nTickets for the event are $85.00 per person.
