National Bell Ringing at Meeting House Join us as the Meeting House participates in 4th of July National Bell Ringing at 2 pm to commemorate the ringing of the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia on July 4, 1776, which proclaimed the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This anniversary will be observed by ringing bells at the same moment throughout the United States. The Meeting House bell, which dates to 1888, will ring 13 times to honor the thirteen original states, whose representatives signed the Declaration of Independence. |
