The Rye Storytellers’ Guild meets at the Rye Free Reading Room one Tuesday evening a month at 6 p.m. to share traditional and personal tales and trade tips on storytelling techniques. The theme for the April 7 meeting will be “Spring, Baseball, and Fools,” tales of the season, the national pastime, and April silliness.

The Rye Free Reading Room’s Science Fun Club sessions in April will feature Compu-Child Lego Robotics, programs that teach children logic and problem solving skills by using materials specifically designed by Lego Company for educational settings. Children in grades K-2 will meet from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 10, and those in grades 3-5 will meet at the same time on Friday, April 24. Space in the Science Fun Clubs is limited. Test takers should bring water, a snack, pencils and a calculator.
