Home for Life Lecture
Romeoville Senior Service Commission sponsors "The Advantage to Aging in Place and Universal Design", presented by Home for Life Advantage, Inc. This presentation will define Universal Design and Aging in Place and offer the benefits for living at home through the aging process. The presentation will also describe the modifications and products available and the advantage of turning your home into a Universal Design before the need arises. Community Garage Sale
Garage sale hours are from 8:00am-4:00pm. Please fill out the registration form to be included in a publication of homes participating in the Garage Sale. No permits are needed for this weekend regardless of whether this form is filled out or not; the registration form only adds your home to the publication. The publication of homes will be available to pick up at the Recreation Center and Village Hall beginning Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Please return the registration form no later than Friday, April 26, 2013. Call the Romeoville Recreation Department at (815) 886-6222 for more information.

(Clean up Week)
Spring Clean Up Week 2013
For Romeoville Residents only. Garbage pick-up will be on your regular scheduled day with unlimited pick-up of large items. No tires, hazardous waste or construction materials will be taken. Please do not include regular garbage with your grass clippings. (Grass clippings must be in kraft- biodegradable bags or an approved container). Tree chipper service will be available (no appointment necessary).

Truckin' 5K Fun Fair and Business Expo
Join the inaugural Truckin’ 5K in conjunction with the Village of Romeoville’s Chamber of Commerce Fun Fair and Business Expo. Runners of all ages are welcome. The race route is the same as the previous Cinco de Mayo Run, which includes multi-terrain course. New to the course will be optional obstacles for those looking for an extra challenge. Giveaways will be given to the first 200 racers. Register online at www.romeoville.org or stop at the recreation center. Packets can be picked up on site on race day. Awards will be given to the first place overall male and female runner and the top three male and female finishers in each age group. The Fun Fair and Business Expo includes touch a truck, inflatables, face painting, craft area, DJ, food, children’s entertainment and games!
