Fencing - Beginner 1 Basic 1 Class

FENCING – BEGINNER 1 BASIC SKILLS 1 CLASS (AGES 7 AND UP) Discover why fencing is one of America’s fastest growing sports! Sometimes called physical chess, fencing combines power, finesse, strategy, speed and balance to form an exhilarating sport that is enjoyable for a lifetime. Fencers learn proper footwork and bladework technique, using our modern and safe fencing equipment. The beginner class covers a brief history of fencing, teaches the proper technique, and introduces fencers to the rules, including how to compete against each other in a bout. The class is open to youth and adults, which will be separated based on class size.Minimum 6 / Maximum 20 Day:Wednesday Time: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Session 6: Fee: $53Member / $79Non-Member Additional Fee: $35 paid to instructor for equipment rental

FENCING – BEGINNER 2 CLASS (AGES 7 AND UP) For fencers who have passed Beginner 1 Class test. This class takes the basics learned in the Beginner Class and expands the options for fencers wanting to know more. New footwork and bladework actions are taught, as well as strategies for scoring and defending against your opponent. This class includes an introduction to electric fencing, and will conclude with a mini tournament for participants during the last class. The class is open to youth and adults, which will be separated based on class size. Minimum 6 / Maximum 20 Day:Wednesday Time: 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. Session 6: Fee: $53 Member / $79 Non-Member Additional Fee: $35 paid to instructor for equipment rental

Choi Kwang Do/Martial Arts

CHOI KWANG DO/ MARTIAL ARTS INSTRUCTION Come and experience all the benefits for all ages with this martial art. Along with Physical and mental conditioning also comes increased self esteem, attention span, self control, respect of others and become a leader in all aspects of life. Like the traditional martial arts there will be belt ranks and testing, but done with positive encouragement. Maximum 6 per class. Day: Thursday Ages: 3–5 Time: 2:00 – 2:30 p.m. Ages: 3–5 Time: 4:30 – 5:00 p.m. Ages: 6–12 Time: 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Ages: 13 & up Time: 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. SESSION 6 Fee: $53 Member / $79 Non-Member *$25 dollar uniform not included to be paid to instructor Classes can be added if needed
