Must be BLET certified or currently enrolled in a BLET program. U.S. Citizen, no felony convictions, at least 21 years of age, and a high school diploma or GED. Qualified applicants must successfully pass a rigorous background check along with a written test, oral interview, certified voice stress analysis (CVSA), physical, drug screen and psychological evaluation.

Performs general duty police work in the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances. Work involves an element of personal danger, and employees must be able to act with-out direct supervision and to exercise independent discretion in meeting emergencies.
