In an effort to promote a clean and safe environment, and for the convenience of our residents, the City of Monroe has included yard waste collection with its normal refuse collection service. This program normally extends from mid-March through mid-December. Collection normally takes place on the same day as your normal refuse pickup.
If you have a question or complaint about your service, you can contact the contracted vendor and utilize their online service center at www.wm.com or call Waste Management at 1-800-796-9696. You may also contact the Depart of Public Services using the contact information below.
Leaf bags are available in the Fall months to compliment the City Leaf Collection program. They can be picked up in bundles of five or twenty-five at the Department of Public Services.

The City does not permit the burning of leaves, brush, etc. within the City limits. This includes piles, burn barrels, and outdoor fireplaces.
