The City of Monroe is rich in both history and beauty. Many historical markers, monuments, and remembrances have been placed throughout the City to mark locations, events, or to honor those who have served their honor and purpose. Out of respect to history and to those of whom the monuments represent, these monuments are maintained and often serve as a focal point for visitors.

Please notify the City of any necessary maintenance or repair so that these features can be maintained in prime condition. Please report vandalism and graffiti separately so that the appropriate departments are notified.
