The City of Monroe seeks to provide sidewalks along City streets in an effort to promote a healthy lifestyle to its residents and patrons. While property owners are ultimately responsible for the sidewalks that abut their property, the City has an active repair and replacement program is in place to insure that sidewalks are of adequate size, slope, and free from defects that could lead to injury.
