            <title>6/29/2013 10:00:00 AM - Plant Exchange[Wed, 19 Jun 2013 13:6:30]</title>
            <description>Give your green thumb a boost on June 29, during the Menlo Park Library’s Free Plant Exchange!  Bring some extra clippings or plants from your own collection, and then go home with some brand-new-to-you plants for your garden.  Leave one, and take one—or more!  Plant donations will be accepted up to a week in advance.  The free plant-trading day will take place Saturday, June 29 between 10am and 2pm on the Menlo Park Library’s patio.  The Plant Exchange is part of this year’s Adult Summer Reading Program at the Menlo Park Library.</description>

            <description>The jungle safari takes place at the Menlo Park Library on June 26, as the docents from Wild Things, Inc. introduce some of their favorite animal friends.  From the creepy-crawlies of the rainforest floor, to the far reaches of the canopy, we’ll come face-to-face with some of the wonderful wildlife that calls the Amazon their home!  This free family event is sponsored by the Friends of the Menlo Park Library, and is just one of a whole series of special programs taking place during this year’s Summer Reading Program at the Menlo Park Library.</description>

            <description>Saturday, July 13th, 11 am, Menlo Park City Council Chambers, 701 Laurel Street.

Author and photographer Guillermo Rivas presents his beautiful photos of Peru, and discusses his unique perspective on photography.  His book, Mi Patria A Colores, My Country of Colors, is a stunning bilingual volume which is dedicated to the geographical, spiritual, and visual wonders of Peru, his native country.  Rivas has exhibited his photography worldwide.  During the month of July, his photography will be on display in the Menlo Park Library foyer.
