11/9/2013 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM (Environmental Event)  Creek Side Planting
Join us for a few hours of planting native plants on the banks of our local creeks! Help us improve habitat for native insects, birds, fish and other animals as we work to help restore the "bottom of the food chain" - our native plants that support all other native life. Volunteers of all ages are welcome; minors under 18 require a signed waiver and children 12 require an accompanying adult unless prior approval is obtained from the workday supervisor. Groups can contact Claire Elliott (clairee@acterra.org) for their own special program dates/hours. The event will be held at the intersection of Pope and Woodland, Menlo Park (near University & Chaucer on Palo Alto side). After completing planting at this site, we will move downstream about 1 block to another site on the Palo Alto side. Please bring: A reusable water bottle and dress for outdoor work (sturdy shoes and long pants recommended). We provide gloves and tools. Minors under 18 must bring a waiver form signed by a parent. For more info and to sign up please visit http://www.eventbrite.com/event/8940115125/eorg or contact Junko Bryant at 650.962.9876 x347 or email her at junkob@acterra.org.
