The City of Lowell recently purchased existing, standard streetlights from National Grid. While the poles and power sources remain the responsibility of National Grid, the City is responsible for repairs to light fixtures. Please use this form to report problems with street lights; to report Traffic Signal issues, please use this form instead.
Repairs will be scheduled every Thursday. Reports of light problems received between Wednesday and end of day on the following Tuesday will be scheduled for attention on Thursday.
Please note that some lights are the responsibility of other public or private groups. For example, spotlights installed on light poles to illuminate private property are the responsibility of the property owner; lights on the Rourke Bridge are owned by MassHighway.
