As you know, the state of the economy has put much of the development that was to occur in Lockport on hold, i.e., the Target development. Although the infrastructure is in place, Target is waiting for signs of improvement in the economy before they proceed. Please note, all infrastructure work that was done was paid for by the developer and NOT the City of Lockport. Furthermore, Home Depot pulled out of the development early on. In the meantime, the City is working with the developer to find another anchor for the site.
