Two Eden officers graduate from academy

Two Eden police officers were among the first 20 students to graduate from the prestigious Piedmont Leadership Academy on Feb. 9. Deputy Chief Greg Light and Lieutenant Clint Simpson began the academy in September 2011 and completed 160 hours of specialized training in order to earn their certificates. The academy, held at Guilford Technical Community College, was taught by administrators from several western North Carolina communities.
