Come and join us as we continue what has become a long standing tradition for us as we show WWE Payback LIVE on our BIG screen in the Adult Program Room. The event starts at 7:00 PM and will continue until 11:00 PM. This is in conjunction with Michigan Championship Wrestling Association making their debut at the Relay for Life that weekend. Go back to those thrilling days of yesteryear as local historian Larry Zdeb will be discussing the origins of The Lone Ranger, The Green Hornet, and Sgt. Preston who all had their start in the Detroit area during the 30s and 40s. Shirley Ann Russell, who was a child actress on the Lone Ranger radio show, is scheduled to appear with Larry to answer your questions regarding the show! Come and join us in the Youth Program Room for our Teen Movie Night. We will be showing Interstellar, rated PG-13. Ages 11-17 are welcome at this free event, but all 11 and 12 year old viewers must have a signed permission slip from a parent to view PG-13 rated films. TAB will be selling snacks to benefit the library.

Detroit Puppetry Guild will host this annual free event, this year at the Caroline Kennedy Library. Registration will begin at 10. There will be two make-and-take children’s puppet making workshops, beginning at 10:15. The puppet store will be open from 10:00 am until 12:45 p.m. The featured puppeteer, which will start at 1 pm, will be Seth Shaffer who will be doing “The Princess and the Pea.” For more information, check out the D.P.G. website: detroitpuppeteersguild.org
