What Personal Information We Collect As set forth in more detail below, the City of Menlo Park Community Services Department (“Community Services Department” or “We”) collects personal information that you provide when using the www.egovlink.com/menlopark web site ("Site"). This information includes your first and last name, email address and a password when you create your www.egovlink.com/menlopark account. You can browse this Site without creating an account, but you will need to create an account when you make a purchase. We may ask you to confirm your personal information when you contact one of our staff members. This will allow us to protect your confidentiality by verifying your identity. Purchase Information When you make a purchase from www.egovlink.com/menlopark, we collect your name and payment method information, such as credit card information. We collect this information in order to bill you for your purchase. We also collect information that allows us to verify if you are a resident of Menlo Park. This includes the name, address, and phone number of the participant and individual providing payment. When you create an account at www.egovlink.com/menlopark, your information will be saved in "Manage Account". You may change or delete this saved information anytime. Simply log on to go to Manage Account. Log in with your email address and password, then edit or delete whatever personal information you wish (i.e. phone number, emergency contact, address, etc.) If you need assistance or would like your entire account delete, please contact the Community Services Department directly at 650.330.2200. Services Account Information We collect personal information from customers who wish to use any of the Community Services Department services, including but not limited to, Community Classes, Gymnastics, Child Care, Senior Center, Special Events, Aquatics, Facility Rentals, and other services. In order to use these services you must provide your email address and password or create an account at www.egovlink.com/menlopark. Contacting Community Service Department We will use your email address to respond to your questions, suggestions, and/or requests for assistance in using this Site. Other Times We May Collect Personal Information From time to time, www.egovlink.com/menlopark may conduct surveys, provide Community Services Department marketing materials, and email announcements. If you participate, we may collect your name, email address, mailing address and other personal information. We will never sell or rent such information to any third parties. How We Use Your Personal Information Information we collect on www.egovlink.com/menlopark may be used to enhance your online experience in the following ways: Provide services that you can purchase online Register you as a member of www.egovlink.com/menlopark Prevent fraud and bill you for your purchases Confirm your purchases Respond to your customer-service inquiries or requests Communicate new services or upcoming events to you Provide services you want to have offered Customize and enhance your online experience Comply with valid legal procedures, requirements, regulations, or statutes When and With Whom We Share Your Personal Information We never sell or rent your personal information to any third parties under any circumstances. City of Menlo Park Community Services Department, in conjunction with our software service provider EC Link, has obtained a digital certificate from Verisign, Inc., a leading provider of Internet trust services. When you enter a secure portion of this Site, an image of a closed lock or a solid key should appear in the bottom bar of your browser window. If you click on this image, a small popup window displaying site-security information will appear. This certificate guarantees that your personal information is being transmitted in secure (encrypted) form to our EC Link web server, not to some unknown or unauthorized server. Ultimately, your personal information is protected by the password you created when you created an account at www.egovlink.com/menlopark. Please keep this password confidential. No employee or any other representative of City of Menlo Park Community Services Department will ever ask you for your password. The confidentiality of your password is yours to protect. You may change it anytime by going to “Manage Account”. Log in with your email address and password, then click on Manage Account and enter a new password. How You Can Decide What Communication You Receive From Us City of Menlo Park Community Services Department may from time to time send you email messages or other forms of marketing communications describing new classes, upcoming events, specific class information, and other department information. However, unless it is information specifically for a class or event you are enrolled in, you will elect to subscribe to one of our mailing lists. You can choose to stop receiving any emails from us at any time. Simply go to Manage Account, click "Subscribe to Email Communications" and remove the check in the box next to the mailing list you would no longer like to receive. The only email messages you will receive from www.egovlink.com/menlopark when you elect not to receive emails will be to confirm any purchases you make on our site, let you know if there are any updates to the class you or your family member is enrolled in, respond to your Customer Service inquiries, and to answer any other questions you may have about our site. In addition, we may also need to send reminder emails to inform you of important documents such as Waivers or Residency Verification that need to be completed prior to the first day of classes. Changes to Community Services Department Privacy Policy This Privacy Policy was last updated on July 11, 2007. We reserve the right to change, modify or amend this policy at any time. Please check our Privacy Policy periodically for changes. Use of the site after modification implies that you consent to this Privacy Policy as modified.
